Terms and Conditions
We've tried to make the information contained in our website as accurate
as possible, but it is provided 'as is' and we accept no responsibility for
any loss, injury or inconvenience sustained by anyone resulting from this information.
You should verify critical information like visas, health and safety, customs
and transportation with the relevant authorities before you travel.
Below Booking Conditions apply to the person making the booking (‘the customer’) and all other persons on whose behalf the booking is made. By making a booking, you accept the below terms and conditions.
We act as agents on behalf of all of the suppliers (including car leasing companies, airlines, tour and cruise operators, car hirers and accommodation providers) in your booking. The customer is contracting with us for the provision of certain services. In almost all cases, the services will be provided by 3rd party suppliers including car leasing companies, airlines, hotels, tour operators, museums and historical sites. Any terms and conditions applied by those suppliers to their customers also apply to your booking. Copies of those terms and conditions are available upon request. Liability lies with the suppliers for these products as we are solely a booking agent, working on commission for the products purchased through us.
Please note that these terms and conditions may change without notice.
Leasing a car and renting a car are not the same thing. Knowing the difference between the two can save you thousands of dollars.
Leasing is actually a tax free buy back program endorsed by the French government to encourage tourism - and boy does it work!
You pay for a minimum of 17 days and then a low daily rate thereafter. This program has been offered for many years and each year over 100,000 people use this tax free program.
The paperwork is all done well before you leave and there is just one set of forms to be completed. Please note that at least 6 weeks notice is required because the car has to be ordered and registered and the paperwork sent to France.
There are only 3 companies allowed to sell the tax free lease program: Renault Eurodrive, Peugeot Open Europe and Citroen DriveEurope. We will automatically compare all three companies and send you the best deal.
When completing the form, if you are not sure which car would be best, let us know how many persons will be traveling or the name of the Australian car that you think will best fit your needs and we will offer you a similar sized French car.
Traveling in Europe between November and March?
Please note all Renault, Peugeot and Citroen lease vehicles are fitted with Standard tyres before leaving the factory. Standard tyres are not suitable for all weather conditions. Between November and March or April in some countries eg Germany, Austria, Switzerland etc it is compulsory to fit winter tyres or carry chains or both. It is the clients responsibility to check the requirements for each country they intend to visit. We highly recommend this link from the Automobile Association in the UK http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/overseas/snow-chains-winter-tyres.html
If winter tyres are required, Peugeot and Renault now offer a few vehicles with winter tyres. If the vehicle you want can not have winter tyres fitted, you will need to purchase your own, at your own expense and have them fitted by an authorised dealer. The original tyres will need to be stored and re-fitted before the lease vehicle is returned. This is an expensive option. For short term requirements this could make a rental car a better financial proposition. Please do not hesitate to discuss your requirements with one of our experienced consultants.
Cancellation charges
As per the invoice/quote through our system
FORCE MAJEURE
UDrive shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred as a consequence of UDrive or any of the suppliers being unable to perform their obligations under the customers’ contract(s) due to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances (a “force majeure event”) beyond the control of the party affected by the force majeure event.
Amendment charges
Amendment fees may apply to all amendments. The amendment fee will be decided on a couple of points, how close the amendment has been made to pick up, if the car has been registered or manufactured by the supplier, among other factors. Please do contact us if you need to make an amendment.
Please note that these terms and conditions may change without notice.
